Disclosure Review
The Enclave is a closed environment in that researchers do not have access to the Internet and they cannot move files inside or outside of our secure environment without review approval. To make sure that any research output exported of the Enclave does not contain disclosive data, our statisticians carefully scrutinize the export request using the most up-to-date disclosure review techniques. If there are any disclosure concerns, the researcher is notified and the output is not released. If no concerns exist, the output is cleared and uploaded to a transfer site from where the researchers can download the output.
Despite a rigorous disclosure review process, we have been able to process a majority of our researcher’s disclosure review requests within 24-48 hours. Researchers can also make a request in advance to let us know if they anticipate any urgent situations e.g, preparing for a presentation in a month, and we will try within our ability to process the request faster. The following graphic shows the disclosure review process in detail.
